Requesting Repeat Prescriptions

                                                                             REQUESTING REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

We require up to 5 working days for prescriptions to be processed.  The 5 working days commences the day after they are received at the surgery, not the date you request your prescription from your nominated Pharmacy.

Repeat medications can be ordered via the NHS App or by completing a repeat medication form in reception. We do not take requests for prescriptions over the phone.

Please ensure you request your repeat prescription at least 10 days before you run out.

Prescriptions requested on:

• Monday should be ready for collection the following Monday
• Tuesday should be ready for collection the following Tuesday
• Wednesday should be ready for collection the following Wednesday 
• Thursday should be ready for collection the following Thursday
• Friday should be ready for collection the following Friday

*Extra time will be required when the Bank Holiday falls on any of these dates.

The surgery is not responsible for contacting patients to advise when their prescription is ready.  You can check your NHS app for this purpose, or speak to your local Pharmacy to see if they have a service whereby they will text you when your prescription is ready.
